After going through our typical multiple offer process with our client, we wrote an offer significantly over the asking price but unfortunately did not win the contract. We encouraged our buyer to write a backup offer back down at the asking price based on our hunch that the contract in the first position had a high probability of falling apart. T

wo days before closing, we received a call from the listing agent we were waiting for. The primary contract dissolved and we were elevated to first position! With so many similar properties closing over the asking price during the same time period, we were able to save our clients a significant amount of money.
