Why did you purchase this home in the first place?

We came to the YMCA of the Rockies for family vacations when our children were young and visited Estes Park often after we moved to Colorado in 1989. We were looking for a home on the water when we purchased our home in Estes.

 

What did you enjoy most about living here?

The calm and peace that this home has allowed us to experience, it is a place to go to renew and refresh! Along with all the friends we have developed within the community of Estes Park.

 

How long have you owned this home?

It has been a blessing to be in Estes for the past 11 years. We purchased our home as it was being constructed and were able to customize the space with special touches.

 

Do you have a favorite memory or event that happened at your home?

Our favorite memories are visits from family and friends from both near and far. The versatility of our home to accommodate our needs when entertaining has been a blessing.

 

What is your favorite feature of your home?

The deck, the view, the sounds of the river and visits from wildlife (deer, elk, bobcats, humming birds, just to name a few of the regulars!) – all the beauty of God’s creation.

Personal transitions and career shifts.

 

Who would you like to see buy your home?

Another family who could appreciate all our home has to offer – creating memories here as we have. A family who values creating community and connections with family and friends.

 

What improvements have you made that you are especially proud of?

The awning over the deck that retracts automatically when it is windy; the flagstone patio that Linda built herself; added storage in the garage; the window tinting that enables us to further enjoy the views and that provides protection within the interior of the house.

 

What would you like the next buyer to know about the property that they won’t find anywhere else online?

Our homeowner’s association and neighbors are amazing. They are cooperative, engaging, and proactive in planning.  We have really enjoyed the international community you find in Estes Park. In addition, we really love the many opportunities available within the community throughout the entire year from rodeos, to festivals, concerts, the farmers market, and the parades, just to name a few.
