Estes Park Real Estate Market Statistics for December 2010

Sam Basel January 10, 2011

Statistics-icon-smallHappy 2011, everyone! I’m looking forward to a fantastic year in 2011 and by the looks of the real estate statistics for December in Estes Park, we are off to a great start.

December can be a strange month for real estate activity. Fortunately, this past month has been outstanding. Our available inventory of real estate for sale is continuing to decrease, activity on showings in our office has increased dramatically toward the end of the month (especially over the holidays) the Months supply of inventory is continuing to decrease.

In addition, I am excited to report that last month we sold the 2nd most expensive home ever sold in Estes Park. At $2.5 million, this luxury property at the top of Windcliff was truly a spectacular house with views unmatched anywhere else in north america (at least everywhere I’ve seen). The home sits at the top of Windcliff and features 4 stories of floor to ceiling windows looking across the valley at Rocky Mountain National Park, Longs Peak, and the Continental Divide. Had this property been located in one of the major ski resort destinations elsewhere in colorado, I’m confident this home could have sold for more than $10,000,000. It just goes to show the incredible value available in Estes Park in the luxury home market.

Looking forward, I would love to see an increase in activity for Condominiums as they seem to be lacking behind activity with single family homes.

If you would like to see a more visual representation of how the market is doing, check out my Estes Park Real Estate Statistics page. Also, I would be happy to generate a more focused statistical analysis on the types of property you are interested in. Contact me here.
